Itinerary for our Cape tour day trip
About our Jewels of the Cape Day Tour
We start the tour with an ascent up Table Mountain via Cable Car. Here, you can expect to enjoy the stunning views from this 1000m high mountain. After the descent, we will explore the breath-taking beauty of the Atlantic Seaboard, passing through Sea Point, the blue flag beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay and then Llandudno before entering the historical fishing village of Hout Bay.
After lunch in Hout Bay we will continue along the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive, a 9km route with 114 curves, stopping at one of the many viewpoints to admire the spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean.
Our next stop will be Cape Point Nature Reserve to enjoy the unspoilt rugged terrain, unique floral kingdom and perhaps a sighting of some of the animals roaming the area. You are welcome to walk or catch the funicular to the upper lighthouse at the tip of Cape Point to enjoy the spectacular view.
Next, we will head to False Bay and the famous colony of African penguins at Boulders Beach. It is a truly wonderful experience to see these local creatures going about their business in their natural habitat.
Hereafter, we will meander through the picturesque naval town of Simon’s Town, continuing through the coastal suburbs of Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg, before heading back to the city centre.
Should we be unable to ascend Table Mountain due to unfavourable weather, we will stop at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on our way back to Cape Town.
Please be aware that this itinerary may need to change due to weather, road conditions or other factors. The tour guide will make the final decision, after consultation with the tour operator and the group members. Safety always comes first!
Motorbike hire in Cape Town is also part of our services, so, if you prefer conducting this trip solo – and you are a licensed and experienced motorcycle driver – you are welcome to rent one of our Harley Davidsons for the day to enjoy the Cape’s magnificent views on your own.
Please feel free to get in touch should you have any questions about this cape tour.
